PlumpJack Group will host the first West Coast event for The One Love Foundation, the nonprofit organization created in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Reynolds Love on Friday, June 29th at MatrixFillmore.
PlumpJack Group and the family and friends of Yeardley Love, a University of Virginia lacrosse player who lost her life in a tragic incident of domestic violence, have banded together to bring One Love out West. PlumpJack President Hilary Newsom states, “Having two young girls of my own, this is an important cause to me. We are proud to support The One Love Foundation and honor Yeardley’s memory.”
It is the goal of One Love Foundation to honor Yeardley by supporting those causes to which, if given the chance, she certainly would have made an important difference. The foundation was created by the Love family to encourage and develop in children and young
adults four qualities that Yeardley exemplified: service, kindness, humility and sportsmanship. The Foundation hopes to “bring out the Yeardley” in everyone by igniting the spirit of One Love in students and young adults, encouraging them to choose a path of goodness. Its mission is to keep Yeardley’s spirit alive in others by promoting strength of character, service and education.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the One Love Foundation. Guests will enjoy an evening with dancing, hosted wine and beer and One Love apparel available for purchase.
