PlumpJack GIVES- Katie Snider, PlumpJack Creative Manager, shares her story of giving with a San Francisco Not for Profit that gets out into the community...
Making a difference, one Good Idea at a time...About six months ago I got involved with a San Francisco nonprofit called A Good Idea. We spend our time serving the San Francisco community in various ways – whether through our quarterly Intentional Acts of Kindness events, our monthly direct service events serving the homeless on the streets in our community, or our plan to bring a first-of-its-kind in San Francisco, fully accredited residential high school for homeless teens called Hope Academy of Arts & Sciences, they all share one common thread… connecting people in need with people who want to help. I’m so excited to be a part of what I consider one of the most incredible nonprofits in the country, and I’m happy that PlumpJack has been so supportive of our work in the community. Chef Jose Lemus of Balboa Cafe even baked dozens of cookies for us to hand out to the homeless just weeks ago.
